What do you do at Grace Evan?

Since I am the Single Adult Minister, many people assume I am a matchmaker - however, this is absolutely untrue! Rather, I lead adults in our church who happen to be unmarried in their maturation as a believer and in being used to expand the kingdom of God. This includes the 19 year-old college student, the 26 year-old adult, the over 30 single mother and the over 30 divorcee.

Are you a northerner or southerner?

I was born in Georgia, from North Carolina stock and mostly raised in Tennessee (in my formitive years I was taken to the west coast and the northern midwest) and I successfully raided the north of one of theirs and brought her down south.

Your favorite book, movie, music?
While I am certainly a Matrix fan, I would have to say that my all time favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption.

Rather than favorite book, let me identify one that captured my attention and challenged me to think - Shantung Compound.
 
Concerning music, most of what is listened to in my home happens to be those silly song tapes for kids...I can't really say I like them either!

Family?

My wife's name is Leila (pronounced like the Eric Clapton "Layla"), Kylee is our oldest daughter, followed by Kirsten and then Kathryn. Recently, we decided (actually I would have to say that the children persistenly decided and 'we' meaning my wife and I finally gave in) to get a dog...so Slippers, our Border Collie has been added to the family!

Note: we have gone mad and now have added a second dog, Piper, to the mix!

I recently finished building a dog house for our two "outside" animals...and would have to say I went over the top...complete with insulated walls and covered porch!
