What do you do at Grace Evan?
I, along with a staff of 5, facilitate the different programs in the Children's Ministry, Sunday School, Heir Force, Tuesday Bible Study and Special Events for ages birth to 5th grade. I am also the Liaison for the Ladies of Grace Ministry and our Mother's of Preschoolers Minsitry. Both of those ministries are over seen by Christy Magowan and both also have a volunteer board.

 

Are you a northerner or southerner?

I am an Air Force Brat. I was raised all over- from Florida to California to Germany. I am a southerner at heart like my mother, but somewhat hardheaded, like my Yankee father.(no comments from the peanut gallery, please!!)

Your favorite book, movie, music?
My favorite fiction book is Frank Paretti's This Present Darkness. Non-Fiction would have to be Desiring God by John Piper. I have lots of favorite movies, but my top four are: Lord of the Rings (all of them) , Meet Joe Black and Sense and Sensability and The Green Mile. My favorite Christmas movies, in case you were really wondering, are The Bishop's Wife (the original) and Christmas in Connecticut (the original)!

Family?

I have a wonderful husband of 25 years, Randy. Two children who are great so far (you never know) Alexandria, a graduate of Auburn University - WAR EAGLE!!!!, who now lives and works in Manhattan. And a 19 year old son, Montgomery, who works for a medical supply company here in Memphis. He is also a volunteer leader in the Jr High.  No pets- Montgomery is cute enough to double as a pet!!!!

Favorite Pastime?
I love to read fiction, light hearted books, like the Mitford series by Jan Karon and I love to scrapbook with my good friend Gayle. It helps me express my creative side with out having to redecorate my house or go shopping a lot!!!!
