2018 Short-Term Mission Opportunities

There are several opportunities this summer to be involved in short-term mission projects.  "Out of the Shire," a familiar phrase we use at Grace Evan that means "to step out of our comfort zone." Will you consider stepping out in faith and engage in God's plan to reach the unreached?  Will you trust God to equip you with all you need to proclaim the gospel to the lost and minister to the needs of others?

If you are considering getting involved in a short-term mission opportunity, please contact the group leader now and begin making plans.  The links on the sidebar will help guide you with information about passports, immunizations, forms and other resources about traveling to your point of destination.

July 27 - Aug. 4

Conversational English Camp with Majak Church, our church partner who has a year round English ministry.  This is a significant outreach ministry for them.  We will stay at the Malenovice Conference Center.  If you are interested contact Johnathan Todd at 901.603.6695.

One Fine Place, MS
June 18 - 22

If you’re wanting to do something different this summer AND if you’re interested in exposing your kids to missions, then I hope you will consider going to French Camp, MS and help put on a VBS.

It’s a Monday thru Friday trip with meals and accommodations included.  We stay in dorm rooms and in addition to VBS (which is over at lunch each day) there is family time and relaxation including tennis courts and a swimming pool.  Both you and your kids *will* be involved with VBS and *will* develop some deeper friendships with other Grace Evan families (Life Together).  I  like to call it “Family Missions 101” and If you would like to know more contact Rick Smith at 355-3950, and I will be glad to fill you in.

Informational Meeting
Sunday, Feb. 18
If you are interested, please join us after the 2nd hour service.  Bring your questions.

Grace Evan will come alongside Honduran Ministry partners to proclaim the gospel message to the children in the villages outside the city of Tegucigalpa and visit with the youth and adults of Crossroad Ministry.

Any age adult and youth are eligible; then anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a family member. Children as young as 7 and 8 have gone with no problems. Non-Grace members are eligible on a case by case basis based on an interview with the candidate.

Have a skill you feel led to use and don't see it listed? Talk to us, we love when God sets the table with dishes that we don't know are in the cupboard. If you have questions, call Chris Carroll at 230-6406.
