Welcome to the 2026 Crosscheck Flag Football season!

Flag football has incredible momentum and we continue to see our league expand in participants as well as a variety of partner organizations. All games are played on the Grace Evan athletic fields which allows for a consistent experience of fast-paced, flag football action with organizations and teams from all over the Memphis and Mid-South area.

Crosscheck has different standards than most leagues. We are a Christ-centered athletic association with the mission of advancing and building God’s Kingdom through sports and exist to provide a competitive sports environment that honors Jesus Christ in all we do.

  • Flag Football
    For participants registering as part of a school partner team, the deadline is August 12.

    For independent teams that already have a coach and roster or for free agent participants who want to play with no association - the deadline is July 31.

    For free agents, while we are not able to guarantee a spot on a team, we will do everything we can. This earlier date allows participants more flexibility if a team does not have enough participants or there are no volunteer coaches. The best way to ensure this is volunteer as a coach and be in communication with our office.

    Cheerleading
    Cheerleading is available to those who are participating with a school partner (i.e. Briarcrest, ECS, St. George’s, etc.) For those who will be cheering with a school partner team, you will now register with the school directly. All costs will be managed through the school. Crosscheck will be working with each school partner who is participating with cheer to provide a medical release waiver and nominal fee per child to cover insurance.

  • All coaches, head and assistants, are REQUIRED to attend a coaches meeting to participate this season.

    Meetings will be held at Grace Evangelical Church, more information to come.

  • May be divided by grade and/or within a division based on the number of participants and/or number of teams in each division.

    Junior Pee Wee Division - Kindergarten & 1st Grade

    Pee Wee Division - 1st & 2nd grade

    Junior Division - 3rd & 4th grade

    Senior Division - 5th & 6th grade

  • Practice can begin as early as Monday, August 10.

    Teams must find their own practice space. Grace Evan offers a limited amount of practice space for teams.

    Games will begin Saturday, August 29.

    There will be a mix of games on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Should there be a rainout, those games will be rescheduled if there is time and field availability to do so.

    We are planning to end the regular season heading into Fall Break. Teams that make the playoffs will compete after the break with the championship planned for Saturday, Oct. 31.

    Playoff participation/layout is dependent upon on the number of teams in each division.

  • Please note the costs in the Praxis registration may show slightly lower amounts until the checkout

    The cost to play in the Flag Football League is $225 per participant. It includes the league fee, jersey, shorts, flags, and insurance. Teams will be issued league-approved flag belts.

  • We have separated our overall Crosscheck policies from each set of rules to help with clarity as well as expectations from the league.
